Beach Runner XL

Greenspeed Beach-Runner

This Magnum XL has obligingly loaned itself to become a Fattie.

Magnum Fattie

Will it be Fattie or Beach Runner, we don’t know yet but a client will shortly be hitting the beaches on the Mid Queensland Coast with this particular recumbent trike.

If you think it could be the tires that are a little fat, I would likely agree.

Here is a comparison of the tires used for the current recumbent conversion. I believe there will be a daybut of a new style of Magnum in the 2017 Recumbent Cycle-Con Trade Show & Convention in the United States, with a hint of a larger diameter rear wheel. Add another 200mm to what we see here and that will be able to cover some serious soft ground, comfortably.

On this recumbent, the regular front brake levers have been replaced with handles that have electrical switches to disengage the front electric drive unit.

There is a Velcro ring around the handle bar so that the strap has somewhere to live when at rest.
